The Pattern
A business with several branches finds that one location dominates local results while the others barely appear. Business profiles carry inconsistent details, the website has one generic services page, and reviews pile up at a single location.
What Teams Usually Try First
Usually adding city names to one generic page, creating more listings, or asking staff for reviews when someone remembers.
Where It Stalls
Each branch is a separate local entity that needs its own profile, page and reviews, but they have been managed as one brand. Duplicate or unverified profiles, inconsistent name, address and phone details, and thin template pages that only swap the city name give search engines little to trust.
Recommended Approach
- Audit every location's Google Business Profile for verification and ownership, duplicates, consistent name, address and phone details, correct categories and accurate hours
- Build one dedicated page per location with content specific to that branch (the team, the services offered there, directions and local details) and link it from that branch's profile
- Set primary and secondary categories per location, and list the actual services and products offered at each
- Create a review routine per location: ask every customer after service, respond to every review, and do not filter or gate who is asked, since that breaks Google's review policies
- Track each location's calls, direction requests and website clicks from profile insights, and compare locations to see where to focus
What It Aims to Achieve
Aims to make each branch visible for its own area, with consistent details and an honest review base, so local visibility is spread across the whole network and not a single location.
